Abstract

To make visible the experience of research and teacher training within the framework of the research project Terminology Data Bank of Information Sciences. To make known the dynamics of student participation in the implementation of the research project Terminology Data Bank of the Information Sciences. To demonstrate the importance of interdisciplinary work as a fundamental component of the teaching-learning process experienced by students in the research dynamics. The linking of students to investigative dynamics constitutes a successful strategy that guarantees optimal training of future professionals and encourages them to develop their professional work in a more qualified way. The research Terminology Data Bank of Information Sciences has been developing, since 2018, at the Inter-American School of Library Science of the University of Antioquia. From the methodological perspective, this research has been developed in stages. The first stage ended in 2020 and focused on the elaboration of the Terminology Database of Archival Science. The second stage was devoted to the terminology of the Academic or University Library and was carried out between 2020 and 2022. This stage was developed in cooperation with the Library System of the University of Antioquia. Currently, the third stage is being carried out, focused on the development of the terminology database of Museology, in alliance with the Museum of the University of Antioquia and with funding from the Fundación Universdiad de Antioquia.  It is expected, then, to share the different activities carried out by the students during the research, including participation in the research methodology, the writing of academic papers, participation in extension events, as well as in class sessions where the progress and results of the research are socialized. At the end, some conclusions that show the importance of research as a formative component of the university student, specifically in the field of librarianship, are specified.
