La formación del profesional de la información en salud: una cuestión de responsabilidad social en el contexto brasileño

Considerando las demandas de información sobre salud en el contexto brasileño, este trabajo tiene como objetivo caracterizar el Énfasis en Información en Salud, ofrecido por el Departamento de Medicina Social de la Facultad de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto al Curso de Graduación en Ciencias de la Información y de la Salud. Universidad de São Paulo, campus de Ribeirão Preto (SP), Brasil. Se eligió un estudio de caso, centrándose en un enfoque cualitativo y exploratorio, que incluye el análisis de documentos y el uso de un cuestionario. El profesional de la información que conoce los problemas de información en salud es un potencial generador de soluciones, pudiendo asumir una posición cooperativa en el equipo multiprofesional de salud, posibilitar la gestión de la información para la toma de decisiones, subsidiar investigaciones, asistencia y promoción de la salud.
