Abstract

It has been observed that the population is achieving greater longevity, which requires a series of planning such as the individual place revaluation and his relationship with his peers. In organizational terms, there is a growing concern to adapt and innovate on prospection search of the human resources that meet the desired goals. For the public sector, particularly in the area of ​​the IHE (Institutions of Higher Education), it is concerning this finding, considering that the greater objective to train professionals. Therefore, it is questioned the situation of the university libraries and the information professional’s posture to handle with this large-wide and complex human universe, since its responsibility and its commitment to ensure access to information is what justifies its existence.
