Digital sketchbook: semiotic study of the aesthetic creative process of imagery information

Abstract

The study of semiotics is necessary for understanding and extracting information contained in images which is increasingly present in our day to day. To do so, and based on the semiotic foundations and methodologies of library for treatment and information retrieval, studied the creative and aesthetic process of image, analyzing its inclusion on the World Wide Web, through the establishment of the digital´s notebook of artist. Object of this research. The results revealed the occurrence of informational gains and losses arising from the change of language of the notebook of artist - from analog to digital - the conclusion is the importance of information professionals in effecting this change intersemiotic with the use of programs for image processing.
