Information architecture in the Athena online catalog - Unesp de Marília: interface evolution

Catalogs are important tools used in most of the information units. The proposal is to analyze, through concepts of Information Architecture, the evolution of the catalog interface Athena, used by the library of Unesp, Marília, showing how was great its evolution over the past year, emphasizing its strengths, but also and mostly negatives, suggesting improvements in attempting to become more pleasing the search for information. This will complement to the studies already developed on the theme beyond pointing and analysis of issues not yet discussed. The results then can be compared and discussed by the academic community and interested in the area, trying to find better solutions make the interface of the catalog Athena and therefore its management more friendly.
